Mission

Millions of Kenyans save and borrow through SACCOs, yet reliable, comparable information about them is scattered across PDFs, notices and word of mouth. FedhaLens exists to organise that record — independently, transparently, and in plain language — so that choosing a financial institution is a decision made with evidence rather than luck.

Data methodology

Every figure on this site carries three things: a source, a date we last checked it, and a verification label:

• Verified — we hold a primary document: a SASRA register entry, audited financial statements, or an official AGM notice.
• Self-reported — provided by the institution through a claimed profile and not yet confirmed against a primary document.
• Unverified — drawn from public materials we have not yet confirmed. We show it honestly labelled rather than hide the gap.

Rates are refreshed in an annual cycle anchored to AGM season (January–April), when most SACCOs declare dividends, and continuously through reader correction reports and institutional updates. When a figure changes, the verification date changes with it.

Independence policy

FedhaLens earns revenue from advertising and from institutions that pay for clearly labelled visibility — featured placements, enhanced profiles and enquiry routing. This funds the research. It buys reach. It never buys results:

• Rankings, comparison results and ratings are computed from data and are not for sale.
• Every paid placement is labelled “Sponsored” and links to this policy.
• No payment can alter, soften or remove accurate public-record information.
• Display advertising is filtered: no gambling, no predatory-lending, no get-rich-quick ads.
• Ads never appear inside comparison tables or data sections.

Right of reply & corrections

Accuracy includes fairness. Any institution covered on FedhaLens may respond to anything on its profile, and we publish that response. Anyone — reader or institution — can report an error; corrections are checked against primary sources and published with an updated verification date. Write to data@fedhalens.com.
